Concerns over the health of Boyzone star Mikey Graham were mounting yesterday after his appearance at the band’s reunion at the weekend.

All four of the group’s remaining members appeared at London’s Emirates Stadium on Friday night – the first of two concerts by the band on consecutive nights – in front of 72,000 fans.

However, Graham, 53, was on stage for just four songs at Friday’s show – the group’s first in seven years.

The singer’s performance sparked concern among attendees at the One For The Road: Live event in the packed stadium. Loyal fans were left confused as fellow band members Keith Duffy, 51, Ronan Keating, 49, and Shane Lynch, who is about to turn 50, opened the show without Graham.

However, he then later appeared on stage to sing Words and two others songs, before coming on for the encore, Life Is A Rollercoaster – all while sitting on a chair.

Fans were worried by his appearance with one source telling Extra.ie: ‘Mikey performed three songs with the boys while sitting on a chair and Ronan stayed with him for Life Is A Rollercoaster. It was an extremely emotional show, they kept talking about their love for each other as five and said the Lord’s Prayer for Stephen [Gately].

‘They wore red for Stephen as it was his favourite colour.’

Boyzone star Gately died on October 10, 2009, aged 33, while holidaying in Mallorca, Spain, with his husband Andrew Cowles.

A post-mortem and court officials confirmed he died of natural causes due to an undiagnosed congenital heart defect that caused a build-up of fluid in the lungs.

Friday was the first time Graham had appeared on stage with the band since the Thank You And Goodnight tour came to an end in 2019.

Some 24 hours before the show, the quartet posted a photo on social media of themselves during rehearsals.

Graham has openly spoken about how fame and his years in Boyzone affected his mental health, as he battled depression and anxiety. A Boyzone representative was contacted for comment.
