CMAT has updated her fans who were worried she mightn’t make Electric Picnic, after she pulled out of a festival just one night before her headline set.
CMAT is set to co-headline EP on Saturday night alongside Gorillaz, as part of her festival tour which is set to conclude in September.
She was set to perform at Rock en Seine in Paris on Friday night — just one night before her EP headline set — but had to pull out on Friday morning after she suffered a bout of gastroenteritis, compounded by the fact that her crew’s flight to France was cancelled.

While many feared that CMAT wouldn’t be able to perform on Saturday night, she appeared to assuage the fears of those in Stradbally who are there to see her, as she reminisced on the year since her acclaimed album Euro-Country was released.
‘Today is the one-year anniversary of the release of my album EURO-COUNTRY,’ CMAT wrote. ‘It’s almost impossible to put the last 12 months into words, so instead here’s a recap of some of the highlights of the last 12 months.’
She then added that she’ll be seeing those at EP tonight, writing: ‘If you are going to @EPFestival see you at the Main Stage tonight at 9 pm x.’

CMAT had to cancel Friday’s Rock en Seine, due to the double whammy of her illness and her crew’s flight being cancelled.
‘Hi everyone, I am very sorry to say we are no longer able to play our show at Rock en Seine today,’ CMAT wrote on her Instagram on Friday. ‘I have gastroenteritis and was due to travel yesterday, but was not able, and I have not fully recovered to travel today.
‘Alongside this, last night’s flight into Paris carrying most of the band, crew, and our gear was cancelled due to a thunderstorm. So unfortunately due to this double dose it’s not possible to play today.’

CMAT apologised profusely for her last-minute cancellation, adding: ‘I am really sorry for anyone who was coming to see us xx.’
CMAT, real name Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson, is set to take to the main stage as one of the headliners of EP on Saturday night. She’ll be taking to the stage at 9 pm, after the Mary Wallopers, before Damon Albarn’s virtual band Gorillaz closes out night two of the festival.
