We might still be on a high after Rory McIlroy’s second Masters win, but just days after his victory in Augusta, it’s already all eyes on another big tournament, and this time closer to home.
Golfing golden couple Diane and Luke Donald have just touched down in Ireland for a bit of prep and planning ahead of the Emerald Isle hosting the Ryder Cup in 2027.
Diane has shared a few glimpses of their first days at the five-star hotel in Limerick that’ll host the Cup next September, revealing they made a very stylish arrival.

The couple touched down at Adare Manor on Tuesday by private helicopter with photos showing Diane and Luke, who’ll be team Europe’s captain for the third time in 2027, beaming smiles.
After landing, the couple got to grips with the golf course and posed for a few snaps and selfies alongside Luke’s vice captain, Edoardo Molinari.
As well as checking out the green, it looks like Diane and Luke have managed to steal a few quieter moments inside the Manor and enjoyed a pint or two of Guinness.

Golf lovers were delighted to see Luke and Diane at Adare Manor, with many saying they’re counting down to The Ryder Cup next year.
‘Looking forward to the next Ryder Cup in Europe. I hope the fans will show the US how to watch the game fair and polite,’ wrote one person.
Another added: ‘We are so lucky to have a hotel and golf course like this in Ireland.’
When the Cup returns next September, it’ll be the first time Ireland has played host since 2006, and be a special year for the tournament as it’ll be marking its 100th anniversary.

Luke will surely be hoping for success as well, with an eye on playing himself into the history books as he has the chance to be the first Ryder Cup captain to win three in a row.
‘The last two Ryder Cups have meant a lot to me and my family. I didn’t imagine this third time would come,’ he said as he was announced as captain.
Praising Irish golf fans, Luke added: ‘The Irish golf fans are some of the best in the world. They are so passionate about the game, so hospitable and so down to earth.

‘They will bring such a great energy to the Ryder Cup. I am sure they will get behind our players and cheers us on.
‘That’s what you want from a crowd – to pick you up in those low moments and keep you going when things are going well.’
