Conor McGregor has made a huge hint about his comeback to the UFC, almost five years after his final outing in the Octagon.

The former UFC Featherweight and Lightweight champion hasn’t competed since his defeat by Dustin Poirier in 2021.

Speculation has been rife that the father-of-five is making a comeback, with talks ‘The Notorious’ will appear on UFC Freedom 250 this June.

The latest talks from McGregor regarding his foray back into the world of fighting came on Wednesday from his legal team.

A long-running multi-million-pound legal case between McGregor and former friend and sparring partner Artem Lobov was settled.

Lobov sued the MMA star following what he claimed was a broken deal that had been confirmed via a handshake.

The agreement was that McGregor would give Lobov 5% of the sale of Proper No. Twelve (Proper 12) whiskey for his role in the brand’s creation.

McGregor officially launched the whiskey brand in September 2018, and sold the brand in 2021 for £442m (€508m).

Russian fighter Lobov claimed that a handshake agreement was made in front of three witnesses at a gym, with McGregor later offering him £700k (€804k).

Court proceedings were scheduled to get underway at the High Court on Wednesday, however, Lobov’s representatives confirmed both parties had come to a deal.

While McGregor himself wasn’t present at the time, a short statement from his legal team said he was ‘satisfied’ the matter had been resolved.

‘I can focus on my training and this summer’s fight,’ the statement read, ‘I want to thank Artem for his hard work for my whiskey business.’
