A man is due to appear in court this morning charged in connection with an alleged firearm incident which occurred in Waterford yesterday (Wednesday).

Gardaí say they received a report of an alleged firearm incident on Paddy Brown’s Road in the Lisduggan area shortly after lunchtime yesterday.

Officers attended the scene and arrested a man aged in his 50s.

An imitation firearm was seized during the incident.

It’s understood the man arrested in connection with this incident has since been charged and is due to appear before Waterford District Court at 10:30am today.
