Kathryn Thomas has revealed how she changed her daily habits after doctors gave her a startling ‘wake up call’ about her health.
The radio and TV star underwent tests as part of her RTE documentary, Young Forever: The Death of Ageing, and decided to take part in a series of tests to find out what rate she was aging.
The 45-year-old previously said how she got an ‘awful wake-up call’ when the results came in and was told by doctors that she was ‘cruising straight towards burnout.’

The mum-of-two has now told how she’s changed some of her daily habits to help keep herself and her family healthy.
Kathryn told EVOKE: ‘I’ve tried to kind of incorporate some new life changes, so I have a new sleep clock.
‘I have water filters in my house, I’ve changed all my water. I have air filters in my house, and I’ve changed all my saucepans.

‘I wash all my fruit and veg in bicarbonate of soda. The documentary actually did have some sort of an impact, and I’m really waiting to see where the world of peptides will take us and where the world of biohacking will take us.
‘I think there is a huge potential, but I just think there’s a lot more to do in terms of FDA approval and all that.
‘But I just think where we are in the next five to 10 years, when it comes to aging and cures for Alzheimer’s and dementia, I think there’s so much potential.’

Kathryn previously told of her shock at the results from the documentary when they analysed her own health and fitness.
‘She could see I eat well and exercise,’ she said. ‘But she said my sleep was shockingly bad and my cortisol levels were through the roof.

‘They said my cortisol levels are through the roof. The practitioner was like, “we need to have a talk. You live in a heightened and constant state of stress”.’
‘And I said, “sorry, I actually wake up in the morning, I’ve got great energy”. And she said, “but it’s your cortisol levels”. Even when I’m asleep, I am constantly in a state of stress now,’ she added.
