Weekly Covid-19 case numbers jump in Waterford

The number of cases of Covid-19 in Waterford jumped by more than 70% last week.
According to the Health Protection Surveillance Centre, there were 118 cases here during the week ending Saturday, December 26th.
That’s up from 68 cases the week before.
The 7-day incidence rate was 101.6 per 100,000 last week up from 58.5.
The median age of cases in Waterford also increased from 28 to 35.
