Forecasters have said there is ‘no end in sight’ to the good weather as temperatures look set to soar this weekend.

And the really good news is temperatures next week look set to remain in the high teens, but in the east of the country, the mercury is expected to tip 21C tomorrow- matching holiday hotspots such as Majorca in Spain.

Posting on X on Thursday, Alan O’Reilly of Carlow Weather said the current high pressure looks like it is here to stay.

And Met Éireann seems to agree, as they forecast the ‘weather over Ireland will continue mainly dry and settled as high pressure dominates’.

Although they did flag a few showers in Leinster and Ulster on Saturday morning.
