Sizzling daytime temperatures are set to be matched by clammy nights, meaning you will almost certainly need to ditch the duvet this week.
After record-breaking heat towards the end of June, July got off to a mixed start with rain and drizzle cooling down the country last week.
However, another heatwave looks set to hit in the coming days, with the mercury expected to rise above 27C in several counties.

While the scorching weather is ideal for hitting the beach, it will also make getting a good night’s sleep a nightmare.
According to Alan O’Reilly of Carlow Weather, humidity during the coming nights looks set to bring what he described as ‘heavy’ conditions.
He shared: ‘While many will enjoy the fine warm spell ahead, it will be humid, with nights getting warm by end of week.

‘We could see nights where temperatures don’t drop below 19C in parts and dew point at peak of day temps around 20C, making it feel very heavy.’
Meanwhile, Met Éireann’s temperature forecast for the week has continued to rise, with Munster and Leinster seeing the most of the heat early on, before it reaches the west.
The national forecaster said: ‘Overall, a lot of dry weather for the rest of the week and weekend with sunshine and becoming increasingly warm.

‘Indeed getting hotter, especially later in the week and into the weekend, with the humidity rising then too.
‘There’ll be a little light rain and drizzle at times, mainly in the west and north, and there’s the chance of some sharp showers or thunderstorms later in the week and weekend.’
Met Éireann has forecast that parts of Leinster may see temperatures reach as high as 27C or 28C on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The forecaster continued: ‘Thursday will bring a good lot of cloud for a time, but it’ll be dry apart from a few patches of light rain and drizzle or a few showers, mainly in parts of the west and north. This will tend to clear away northwards with sunshine becoming more widespread from the south.
‘It looks like Friday will be a dry day for most with plenty of warm sunshine. However, there’s the chance that it could be a bit cloudier further west with a little rain. There’s also the possibility that a few isolated sharp showers or thunderstorms could break out.
‘Hotter than previous days with temperatures reaching the mid to high twenties, possibly touching 30 degrees in places.’
