On Tues, July 7, the ‘Deise Today’ team took the show on the road to Dungarvan town centre for a special broadcast.

With our state-of-the-art and solar-powered Outside Broadcast vehicle, we hit the quayside on Dungarvan on a beautiful sunny morning.

The programme, from the heart of the local community, was a special focus on the town’s massive economic and cultural growth in recent years, while also discussing how the urban/rural divide has been addressed.

Damien spoke to business interests, hospitality industry representatives and also stakeholders in the West Waterfod cultural scene in a ‘bright and breezy’ two-hour programme.

It was part of our new ‘Waterford in Focus’ series (funded by Coimisiun na Mean) which is all about placing audiences at the heart of the community, while spotlighting stories of renewal, resilience and sustainability.
