In November of 2025, Waterford FC DS Futsal side took part in the annual Cardenas Cup in Abbotstown only to be crowned Cairdeas Championship Cup winners and proudly flying the flag for the Deise.

To mark the occasion the Blues squad were given a reception by Mayor Seamus Ryan. A proud moment for coaches & families. They have gone from strength to strength since and one of the coaches involved Dylan Carroll spoke to Ollie and Lolly on WLR's Big Breakfast Blaa.
