Waterford is set to come under two Status Yellow weather warnings on Tuesday, with heavy rain and strong winds forecast.

Met Éireann has issued a Yellow rain warning for Waterford, Cork and Kerry from 1pm until 9pm on Tuesday.

Spells of heavy rain are expected, with localised flooding, difficult travelling conditions and poor visibility among the possible impacts.

A separate Status Yellow wind warning will also be in place for Waterford, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick during the same period.

Very strong and gusty southeasterly winds are forecast, with Met Éireann warning of difficult travelling conditions, fallen trees and branches, and loose debris.

There is also a risk of wave overtopping and coastal flooding due to a combination of spring tides, surge and very strong onshore winds.

Both warnings are valid from 1pm until 9pm on Tuesday.
