Holidaymakers should be aware of rainfall forecast for summer hotspots in the coming week.
Ireland has been enjoying a decent period of good weather, with temperatures hitting 21C earlier in the week, matching sunny destinations such as Majorca, Spain.
Unfortunately, grey skies look to return just in time for the bank holiday with cloudy skies and heavy rain on the cards for the country.

RAIN AT HOME
On Wednesday morning, Met Éireann issued a status yellow rain warning for two Munster countries in a sure sign of the changing weather.
The warning comes into effect at 3am for Cork and Waterford, and will remain in place until 6pm on Thursday evening.
The forecaster said: ‘Persistent rain will be heavy, and possibly thundery, at times.’

They added that potential impacts include localised flooding, difficult travelling conditions and poor visibility.
Some northeastern areas are expected to remain dry on Thursday, with temperatures remaining between 14 and 18 degrees.
Friday will see a mixture of cloud, sunny spells and showers, some of which will be heavy with a chance of an isolated thunderstorm in the west.

Saturday will see further scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle, while there will be some reprieve on Sunday.
Met Éireann said: ‘Sunday looks set to be a drier day but with a good deal of cloud overall. The best of the bright or sunny intervals will be in the south.’
