Two people have been hospitalised after a blaze broke out in a popular Dublin city centre pub this morning.
The fire is said to have broken out at the back of the James Connolly pub, a well-known hostelry on the north side of the city centre, in the early hours.
There is currently no information on what caused the fire, though those hospitalised have been described as having non-life-threatening injuries.
Traffic is being diverted from Marlborough Street and Eden Quay, and there is also some disruption to Luas services.
Green Line services are currently not operating between St Stephen’s Green and Dominick due to the incident on Eden Quay.

Services are operating only between Brides Glen and St Stephen’s Green, and between Dominick and Broombridge.
Emergency services are at the scene of the fire, and traffic is being diverted away from the area.
Motorists and cyclists are asked to avoid the area altogether for the next few hours.
Some Dublin Bus routes may have to be diverted, and delays are expected to travel times in and around Eden Quay.
Please be advised that Green Line services are currently not operating between St Stephens Green and Dominick. This is due to a non-Luas related incident blocking the tracks in the City Centre. Services are operating between Brides Glen and St Stephens Green, and between Dominick…
