The countdown is on to TuneFest 2026, as Dungarvan prepares to welcome some of the biggest names in Irish traditional music for four days of concerts, sessions, workshops and outdoor performances from June 18th to 21st.

Returning this weekend, the much-loved festival will once again transform the harbour town into one of Ireland’s leading centres of traditional music, drawing performers and audiences from across the country and beyond. With headline concerts, late-night pub sessions, free outdoor performances and a lively programme of workshops and events, Dungarvan is set for a packed weekend of music.

At the heart of TuneFest is its outstanding lineup of performers, opening Thursday evening at Dungarvan Town Hall Theatre with Rory Makem and Dónal Clancy.

Friday and Saturday nights see Cherish the Ladies take to the stage at the Town Hall Theatre, led by Joanie Madden, one of the most celebrated acts in traditional music.

Saturday night features a high-energy standing concert at Club Creation with Damien Mullane, Eugene Quinn and Colm Keane alongside The Rising and The Johnny Quinn Macs.

Sunday afternoon brings Frankie Gavin to Dungarvan Town Hall Theatre with Catherine McHugh and guests, followed by the festival closing concert on Sunday evening at The Park Hotel with Danú, Ger O’Donnell and Don Stiffe.

Beyond the headline shows, TuneFest’s pub sessions, Grattan Square Gig Rig performances, workshops, masterclasses and busking competition run throughout the weekend.

Organiser Donnchadh Gough says there is real excitement building as the town prepares for the festival, with a programme combining great concerts, sessions and atmosphere across Dungarvan.

TuneFest 2026 promises an unforgettable weekend of traditional music.
