
Police have issued an appeal for information after a petrol bomb attack occurred in Downpatrick, Co Down, in the early hours of Monday morning.
The petrol bomb was thrown at a house that had three people inside it at the time.
Scorch damage was caused to the front of a house in the Pound Lane area, with police receiving the report at around 12.25 am.

Police heard that two men, dressed in dark clothing, with hoods up and their faces covered, conducted the attack and then made off towards John Street.
Police officers and the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene, though the fire had already been put out.
A PSNI spokesperson confirmed: ‘Officers attended the scene, along with the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, where the fire had already been extinguished by one of the occupants.

‘Some damage was caused to the house, including scorch marks to the front of the property and the front door.
‘Three people were in the property at the time. However, no injuries were reported.’
Police are now appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
They added: ‘Anyone with information, including CCTV, ring-doorbell or other footage, is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 24 of 22/06/26.’
