A man aged in his 60s has died after he was struck by a shuttle bus at Dublin Airport in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The tragedy happened shortly after midnight on Thursday.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene following reports of a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a bus.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, and has since been transferred to the mortuary at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown.
A statement from An Garda Síochána confirmed that the coroner had been notified, and the scene has been preserved for technical examination.
The force added that a partial road closure remained in place at the main access route into Dublin Airport.

They noted that local diversions were in place.
‘Motorists travelling to Dublin Airport on the morning of Thursday 23rd April 2026 might wish to consider allowing extra time for their journey,’ they advised.
