A Lotto player has scooped a massive €4,769,938 jackpot following Wednesday night’s draw.
The winning numbers were 8, 11, 13, 17, 37 and 45, while the bonus number was 3.
The National Lottery has confirmed the county where the winning ticket was sold, with the exact retail location due to be revealed tomorrow.

The lucky player has now become the 27th National Lottery millionaire of 2026 and the 15th person to become a millionaire through Lotto this year.
It is also the second Lotto jackpot win since changes to the game were introduced in September.
National Lottery spokesperson Darragh O’Dwyer urged Leitrim players to check their tickets carefully.

‘A Lotto player in Co. Leitrim is waking up this morning with an incredible reason to celebrate after winning €4,769,938 in last night’s Lotto draw,’ he said.
He advised the winner to sign the back of the ticket, keep it somewhere safe and contact the National Lottery Prize Claims team to arrange collection of the prize.
The latest jackpot win follows a Cork family that recently collected more than €3.6 million after another major Lotto win.

The family won €3,641,884 through an online ticket and later revealed they were preparing to cut the grass when the winning notification came through.
The ticket holder said they initially wondered whether the message had been sent to the wrong person before realising the family had won the jackpot.
The celebrations came as the National Lottery continued to urge players to check tickets carefully, with millions of euros in prizes going unclaimed each year.

New figures from the National Lottery Regulator showed €16.9 million worth of prizes went unclaimed in 2025, up from €15.1 million the previous year.
Lottery winners generally have 90 days to claim a prize before the money is forfeited.
At present, €654,874 worth of prizes are still within the 90-day claim window, including a €500,000 EuroMillions prize from a ticket sold in Wexford last month.

The Leitrim winner is being advised to contact the National Lottery Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222 or by email at claims@lottery.ie.
Arrangements will then be made for the winner to collect their prize at National Lottery headquarters.
