The Guillamene car park in Tramore has been closed to the public, with notices displayed at the entrance warning that unauthorised entry is prohibited.

One of the notices states that anyone entering the site will be accessing a farm, while also advising that pedestrians may continue to use the land to access the Guillamene swimming area.

A separate notice identifies the property as private land and states that the owner excludes their duty of care to users of the land.

The closure means motorists are no longer able to access the car park as normal, although pedestrians are still permitted to pass through to reach the popular swimming spot.

WLR understands that notices have been erected at the entrance to the site, but the reasons behind the closure have not yet been established.

WLR is in the process of contacting the landowner for comment and will bring you further updates as they become available.
