Jimmy Fallon is feeling the fury of Irish fans who have slammed the ‘disgraceful’ move to have Conor McGregor as a guest.
The talk show host was all smiles as he talked with the UFC fighter about his recently announced return to the Octagon. However, when clips of the interview began to surface on social media, fans were less than happy.
Irish social media users quickly pointed out that the interview included no mention of McGregor’s recent civil case, which found him liable for the 2018 rape of Nikita Hand.

‘Jimmy Fallon, you and your team are an utter disgrace. There is absolutely no way you don’t know what Conor was found liable for in civil court,’ one user on X said.
Another chimed in: ‘Jimmy, Conor was found civilly liable for rape; he appealed and lost. That’s enough to make him persona ingrata. Jimmy, you are now abating and abetting after the fact. Same for the network.’
A third user said: ‘You’re a disgrace @jimmyfallon, have this disgusting man on your show. You have daughters. Shame on you!’ The talk show host shares both an 11-year-old and 12-year-old daughter with his wife Nancy Juvonen.

Some fans of the late-night show expressed extreme disappointment that Fallon failed to mention the case once, claiming he was giving the controversial UFC fighter a new ‘platform’ in the US.
One person said: ‘Zero questions about his sexual assault. Sycophants all of them.’
‘Ireland hates him but God Damn, them Americans love an Irish person … Fallon giving the scum a platform, thought he was better than that !’ another noted.
Nikita Hand was awarded €248,603 after McGregor was found liable for raping her in a Dublin hotel room in 2018.
The UFC fighter was accused of ‘brutally raping and battering’ Ms Hand, with one paramedic claiming he had not seen ‘someone so bruised’ in a long time.
His appearance on the late-night talk show comes after he announced he will be returning to the Octagon for his first fight since 2021. The Dubliner is set to fight Max Holloway on July 11 for the UFC 329 event.

McGregor also made a recent appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, where he spoke out about the influential role religion has played in his life.
When asked if he has any regrets in his life, the controversial fighter answered, ‘No’.
He later admitted to having ‘hit rock bottom’ in his life but did not refer to the civil case.
‘God knows my heart and the things that I have gone through; I was a young man, and I forgive myself for disgracing the position that God put me in,’ he explained.
