One person has died, and several others are seriously injured after a bus carrying tourists crashed in Queensland, Australia.
The crash happened on the Bruce Highway at a location known as Gumlu, when the bus left the road and rolled over before coming to rest on its side on the roadside between Townsville and Bowen, just before 4 pm on Thursday.
A police spokesperson confirmed that the tourist coach was being driven by a 70-year-old man, and had been travelling southbound to Airlie Beach from Cairns, when the accident happened.

It’s believed several Irish tourists may have been on board the Flixbus coach, but this has not yet been confirmed. However, the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade says it is aware of the case and is providing consular assistance.
