Tributes are pouring in following the death of the star of a well-known Netflix series.
French actor Pierre Deny passed away this week, at the age of 69 years old.
The star had been diagnosed with a ‘sudden and severe’ case of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

The actor would be best known for his role in Netflix’ Emily in Paris, fronted by Lily Collins.
Pierre played the affable Louis de Léon, CEO of luxury fashion house JVMA.
He featured across seasons three and four, with his on-screen son Nicolas (Paul Forman) romantically involved with Mindy (Ashley Park).

A statement from the actor’s family confirmed his passing, sharing: ‘It is with deep emotion that we announce the passing of Pierre Deny, which occurred this Monday following a sudden and severe case of ALS.’
Among the tributes was Paul Forman, who took to Instagram, and said he was ‘heartbroken’ to hear the news.
He said: ‘It was a privilege to work alongside him and to witness his warmth and talent up close.

‘Thinking of his family and loved ones. Rest in peace.’
The main cast of Emily in Paris have yet to speak of the death of their colleague.
It is the second crew tragedy to hit the TV show in recent years, with assistant director Diego Borella dying during filming of the fifth series last year.
The 47-year-old collapsed in front of crew during filming. It is understood the successful director died of a heart attack.
Borella was born in Venice in 1978 and was a successful director and writer who had trained in cities across the world and who will be hugely missed within his enormous circle of friends, family and colleagues.
The sixth season of the hit Netflix comedy-drama is currently in production, with it recently confirmed that it will be the final one.
