Taylor Swift turned to an Irish designer to create her wedding dress.

The singer tied the knot with football star Travis Kelce to much fanfare at Madison Square Garden in New York on Friday.

Now her rep has confirmed that she enlisted the help of an Irish designer to create the dress for her special day.

That help came courtesy of Jonathan Anderson, who designs for Dior and hails from Derry.

A statement shared with People reads: ‘The bride and groom’s wedding ceremony looks have been created by Christian Dior Haute Couture.

‘They are designed by Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Women’s, Men’s and Haute Couture Collections, in close collaboration with the bride and groom.

‘This is the designer’s first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity.’

It goes on to reveal that their wedding shoes were custom-made by Christian Louboutin while Taylor wore jewellery from Cartier.

There were potential clues over the past few months that the bride had chosen Dior to design her wedding dress.

In April, she was spotted wearing a mini Lady Dior bag in buttercup yellow. She was also spotted recently wearing a black Dior handbag.

A statement from the fashion house congratulated the couple, stating: ‘Christian Dior Haute Couture is delighted to confirm it has created the wedding looks for the marriage of Taylor and Travis.

‘They have been created in Dior’s ateliers at 30 Avenue Montaigne, Paris and designed by Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Women’s, Men’s and Haute Couture Collections, in close collaboration with the couple.

‘Jonathan Anderson and the house of Dior extend their congratulations to the Bride and Groom.’
