Ronan Keating might just be an endless source of surprises, as it has emerged that he had a very famous flatmate in the Nineties.

In the early days of Boyzone, Ronan shared his living space with his bandmate Shane Lynch, but also another well-known singer with whom he has been friends ever since.

His famous flatmate was none other than Louise Redknapp, and they had equally famous neighbours!

Louise shed light on their time spent living together, telling Magic FM: ‘So I shared a flat with Ronan and Shane and – no word of a lie – our neighbours were Ant and Dec.

‘I was touring, they were back and forth to Ireland, and we were like, should we get a really boujee flat because if we put our money together we can get something really nice.

‘It was great for me. They were never there… they just had all their silver dungarees everywhere!’ She went on to describe how she had a lovely time when they were there and would spend their evenings getting a takeaway and watching a movie.

‘It was nice back then to have a little crew in your job.’

Ronan previously revealed that he and Louise Redknapp used to be flatmates when she was in the band Eternal ahead of their New Year’s Eve special for the BBC.

The singer reposted a picture of them posing, with his arm around her, where Louise explained: ‘I’m excited to be joining my old flatmate @rokeating to see in the new year.

‘I can’t believe that after knowing each other for over 30 years, we’ve never actually performed together until now… and we have something special planned for you all!

Louise also shared a throwback picture of herself and Ronan back in the day.

She previously opened up about that time, telling The Sun: ‘The only downside for me being a pop star in the ’90s was it took over your life.’

‘There was no personal life, and when you’re young, you most probably need that time to find out who you are.

‘But as far as the music goes, it was b****y brilliant with the Smash Hits roadshows, tours and all of those big music TV shows.

‘It would be us, Take That, East 17, and Boyzone. I shared a flat with Ronan Keating and Shane Lynch. It was a great experience, I had the time of my life.’
