Taylor Swift has sparked huge excitement among fans after revealing she has written an original song for the upcoming Toy Story 5 movie.

However, it’s not just the announcement that’s getting people talking.

The global superstar unveiled her brand-new track on Monday, confirming it will feature on the official soundtrack for the highly anticipated fifth instalment of the beloved Disney and Pixar franchise.

Sharing her excitement, Taylor admitted that contributing to a Toy Story film has been a lifelong dream.

The singer said she has loved the animated series since childhood, having grown up with the original movie when it was released in the mid-1990s.

The new song, titled ‘I Knew It, I Knew You,’ and is set for release on June 5, just weeks before Toy Story 5 lands in cinemas on June 19.

However, while many fans were thrilled by the surprise announcement, others quickly noticed a curious detail that sparked confusion online.

Social media users pointed out that the title of Taylor’s newly announced track appears strikingly similar to that of a song released by her close friend and fellow singer-songwriter, Gracie Abrams.

The title of Taylor’s new release is a near replica of her close friend Gracie Abrams’ song I Knew It, I Know You.

The observation quickly spread across fan accounts, with many wondering whether the resemblance was intentional, a coincidence, or maybe a subtle nod to their long-standing friendship.

As speculation continued to build online, Swifties flooded comment sections with theories, while others simply celebrated the unexpected collaboration between Taylor and one of Disney’s most iconic franchises.

‘Me at first glance: why is Taylor Swift selling CD singles for a Gracie Abrams song,’ one wrote on X.

‘I’m trying to recover from the Gracie Abrams jumpscare when I saw the title “I Knew It, I Knew You” but hers is I KNOW YOU,’ another shared.

‘Really really torn by this news by Taylor Swift… I really really hate the title. For someone who has been such a champion of doing things the right way, to not mention it’s basically Gracie Abram’s title feels very very strange. At best its tone deaf, at worst it’s a direct shot,’ a third added.

One thing is certain: with a new movie, a new soundtrack, and plenty of fan discussion already underway, Toy Story 5 is generating buzz long before it reaches the big screen.
