It looks like Jeremy Clarkson might soon have a bit of competition on his hands, and it’s coming from very close to home.

His partner, Lisa Hogan, has announced she’ll be fronting a brand-new reality series that blends the muddy charm of Clarkson’s Farm with the romantic chaos of Love Island.

The show, titled Farming for Love, is inspired by the long-running format Farmer Wants a Wife and will follow a group of single farmers on the hunt for romance.

While it might sound like an unusual mix, the format has a serious pedigree.

Already aired in more than 30 countries, it’s celebrating 25 years on screens and has reportedly resulted in over 250 marriages and more than 600 babies worldwide.

Set against the backdrop of rural Britain, the series will see farmers invite potential partners to live and work alongside them, offering a proper taste of day-to-day farm life.

Expect early mornings, hard graft, and plenty of opportunities for romance to either blossom… or completely fall apart.

Hogan will take on hosting duties, bringing a role not unlike Maya Jama on Love Island, with a mix of straight-talking honesty, humour, and her own farming experience.

And before you assume it’s strictly for those already living the country life, think again. Applications are now open to anyone willing to ditch city living and give farm life, and love, a go.

Speaking ahead of the show’s launch on ITV1 and ITVX, Hogan said: ‘Farming is a way of life that requires resilience, patience, a lot of humour, and the same can be said for relationships.

‘What I love about Farming for Love is how real it is – there is no hiding or skiving on a farm, and that is what makes it such an honest way for people to get to know each other, which has had success around the world.

‘I am really looking forward to leading this flock in their search for romance.’

The Irish-born presenter has been in a relationship with Clarkson since 2017, after the pair met through mutual friends.

Fans of Clarkson’s Farm will already recognise her from her work at Diddly Squat farm shop in Oxfordshire, where she’s become a firm favourite thanks to her no-nonsense attitude and quick wit.
