Bono has many feathers in his cap, but perhaps the most important one of all is ‘father to the ultimate nepo babies’.
The singer, whose real name is Paul David Hewson, shares four children with his wife Ali. 37-year-old Jordan arrived first, followed by her sister Eve, 34. The couple’s first son, Elijah, 26, was born in 1999, and bringing up the rear is the baby of the family, John, 25, who has just been cast in a buzzy show.
As the age-old saying goes: ‘If you don’t know the Hewson children, pretty soon you will,’ and that’s not just because their father is one of Ireland’s greats – it’s because they ooze talent. Seriously, we’re not sure if the Hewson household can take any more star power.
Here’s everything we know about Bono’s children…
Jordan Hewson

Jordan, the eldest of the Hewson children, followed in Bono’s activist footsteps. In 2016, she established Speakable, a tech company that aims to promote social activism.
Her entrepreneurial venture landed her a spot on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. Impressive!
In an interview for HuffPost’s Talk to Me series, Bono described Jordan as ‘the greatest gift I could ever get’, and said that despite being unsure as to whether he was ready for a family back then, she ‘probably saved my life’.
Jordan grew up in Ireland with her three siblings but ventured to Columbia University to get her undergrad degree in political science, followed by an MA in creative writing.
Now, Jordan has also followed in Bono’s musical footsteps, releasing her own music. ‘Excited to share this song.. Don’t Kill the Vibe is one for the kitchen party,’ Jordan said in April 2026.
She added: ‘I wanted the sound to bring me back to indie New York, and what I was listening to when I lived there.
Eve Hewson

Jordan’s younger sister, Eve, whose full name is Memphis Eve Sunny Day Iris Hewson, was literally born to be famous.
Unlike many of the prepped and primed Hollywood nepo babies, Eve has no issue addressing her privilege, previously tweeting: ‘2023 Goals: be successful enough to get recognised as a nepo baby.’ And that she is!
Since 2011, Eve has established herself as a household name through films and TV shows. Perhaps her most notable roles are those of Amelia Sacks in the critically-acclaimed Netflix series The Perfect Couple and Becka Garvey in the ever-popular Bad Sisters.

Eve studied acting at New York University, which led her to her first major role in the 2011 film This Must Be The Place. Since then, she’s acted in other films such as Enough Said, Bridge of Spies, and Flora and Son.
Despite Bono’s fame, Eve previously told the Irish Times she had a normal childhood, saying: ‘The one thing I think prepared me for the career I have now was being able to go the school down the road, to just live a Dublin life.’
Elijah Hewson

Elijah, Bono’s eldest son, has a biblical name almost foretelling how his fans would view him. Elijah is a cut off the old block, following in his dad’s footsteps as the frontman of popular band Inhaler.
After forming the band with his classmates in 2012, they released their first album, It Won’t Always Be Like This, in 2021, which debuted at #1 on the UK charts. This achievement marked the first time an Irish band had debuted in the charts in 13 years.

Two years later, Inhaler released their second album, Cuts & Bruises, and their third album, Open Wide, was released in February 2025.
John Hewson

Bono’s youngest child, John, who was born on May 21, 2001, largely kept himself out of the limelight for years, but that all changed in 2026.
John is launching an acting career after landing a part in the RTÉ show, These Sacred Vows, which also stars Tom Vaughan-Lawlor.

John plays Rory in the series, which is a comedy-drama set over seven days during an Irish wedding in Tenerife.
He described his character as being ‘a druggy, sporty a**hole’ who has a ‘bit of back and forth’ with the priest, who Tom plays.
John has also scored a role in one of BookTok’s most anticipated page-to-screen adaptations, The Boys Of Tommen. Bono’s son will play Gerard Gibson, or Gibsie as fans of the book know him.

Set in Cork, the book series by Chloe Walsh follows a group of secondary school teens who try to navigate love, addiction, poverty, and fitting in.
The TV show is set to be eight episodes long, combining the first two books in the series: Binding 13 and Keeping 13.
