Dermot Kennedy has shared a major throwback to his busking days as he gets set for his biggest Irish shows to date.
The Giants singer will take to the stage for two nights at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium next month as part of his UK/Europe tour.
The gigs were announced last year, with Saturday, July 11 the first to be announced, and Sunday, July 12 added due to popular demand.

It will be a landmark moment for the singer, who started off busking on Dublin’s Grafton Street.
Dermot began busking on the famed Dublin street when he was 17 years old, developing his sound while he did so.
During his busking days, he befriended Glen Hansard, who invited the youngster to open for him.

More than 20 years later, the youngster who busked on Grafton Street is preparing to perform two nights at the Aviva Stadium.
Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Dermot shared a picture from his busking days as he looked towards the major gigs.
‘This little hopeful eejit plays to 100,000 people in his hometown in just 2 weeks,’ he wrote alongside the snap, ‘Impossible to describe.’
On Saturday, the singer shared a video where he admitted that the Aviva Stadium shows were ‘just hitting me now.’
He said: ‘I’m kinda trying to ready myself for how that might feel and just kinda be conscious of how much it took to this point and appreciate it, but not be too intimidated by it but we’ll see.
‘I’m just checking in to say thank you for the fact that these two gigs exist. I’m looking forward to seeing you…
‘Yeah, 50,000 people two times is something I feel very, very grateful for.’
The Dubliner will be supported on the two nights by Irish folk band Amble and singer-songwriter Aaron Rowe.
Some tickets for the two shows are still available, and can be purchased on Ticketmaster.
