Former Independent councillor Seamus O’Donnell passed away this week. He was elected to represent the Dungarvan-Lismore District in 2014 and 2019, and tributes have been paid to him for his years of public service and his strong connections throughout the community.
Uisce Éireann is due to begin work this month on an upgrade of the water network in Ballybeg. Around 1.1 kilometres of ageing water mains will be replaced, with the works expected to be completed by the end of the year.
Waterford technology company Klearcom has been selected as one of 24 businesses for Elevation Select 2026. Eight of the companies will be chosen at the programme’s launch on October 27th to take part in a year-long programme of growth and business support.
Knockanore Farmhouse Cheese has won three awards at the 2026 Irish Cheese Awards. The company received Silver for its Oakwood Smoked Cheddar and Bronze awards for both its Smoked Moz and Moz cheeses.
