Waterford’s U20 hurlers defeated by Cork
Apr 16, 26

There was further heartbreak for the Waterford Under-20 hurlers last evening as they lost to Cork by three points in their penultimate Provincial Championship game at a windswept Fraher Field.
Despite playing against the elements in the opening half, the Déise were only a point behind at the interval.
David Comerford walloped over five points (two frees) for the home side who came up just short as the Rebels fired over the last three points, with the final score fittingly coming from player of the match James O’ Brien who ended the hour with 0-10 (3 from play).
Waterford will conclude their campaign with an away tie against Limerick on Wednesday evening next, April 22nd at 7pm in the TUS Gaelic Grounds.
