Waterford’s Seamus Power will head into the final round of the Butterfield Bermuda Championship sharing the lead after another impressive performance on Saturday.

Power is tied on 16 under par with American Austin Smotherman, with the pair holding a two-shot advantage over their nearest challengers at Port Royal Golf Club.

The Waterford golfer followed Friday’s seven-under-par 64 with another strong round to put himself in contention for a second PGA Tour victory.

Power made a fast start with birdies on the first and third holes, before adding another at the 10th. His only bogey in 33 holes came at the 13th, but he responded with birdies on the 14th and 17th to finish the day on 16 under.

Power will play alongside Smotherman in Sunday’s final pairing as he bids to claim the title.

Canada’s Corey Conners, along with Taylor Moore and Ben Silverman, are among the chasing group on 14 under par, two shots behind the leaders.
