Shane Lowry is back on form at the Travelers Championship on the PGA Tour this weekend, as he heads into his final round tied for fifth place.
The Irishman has bounced back from recent disappointments with a six-under-par 64 to follow up rounds of 68 and 65, leaving him in the top 5 heading into Sunday at the PGA Tour Signature Event.
Lowry has Dermot Byrne on the bag this week after splitting with Darren Reynolds, who had been his caddie since 2023.
Byrne caddied for Lowry for the first 10 years of his career, and his return seems to be playing out well for the Offaly man.

‘We had a great three-and-a-half years together, and we’re still good friends, and he was really good to me. We experienced some great things,’ Lowry said, speaking of Darren Reynolds.
‘I just felt like I needed a bit of a change on the course. I felt like the five-hour rounds were quite unenjoyable at times, and I needed a bit of a change-up.
‘Dermot was caddying last week for a guy called James Nicholas, who qualified for the US Open, and it was easy to ask him to do this week, because it’s an easy drive up the road for him.’

Lowry added: ‘It’s just nice to have an old friend on the bag, and hopefully we can go out here tomorrow and give it a run.’
The move does appear to have paid off, with Shane Lowry in position for his first top 10 since early March, although his final-day performances have been the story of his season so far, with disappointing final rounds coming more often than he would want.
Lowry may need a miracle if he is to win today, as he is seven shots off the leader, Viktor Hovland, on 20 under par. Lowry gets his final round underway at 7:35 pm Irish time today alongside US Open winner Wyndham Clark.
