Limerick and Cork will meet in the Munster Senior Hurling Championship after beating Tipperary and Clare, respectively.
Cork eased past a disappointing Clare side at Páirc Uí Chaoimh this evening to book their spot in the Munster final. They will come against a Limerick team that put five goals past Tipperary in their final round game today.
Aaron Gillane found the back of the net in the opening minute, and the goals kept coming for Limerick. Aidan O’Connor’s first goal came from a mishit 65, which saw the sliotar sail into the back of the net, but there was nothing fortunate about his second, a brilliant solo effort.

Gillane grabbed a second goal of his own, while Diarmaid Byrnes converted a penalty to seal a dominant victory and book Limerick’s place in an eighth successive Munster final.
They will come up against a Cork side in flying form, after they comfortably beat a disappointing Clare side. The Banner only led once in the game, when Tony Kelly converted a 65 for the game’s first score.
Cork had moved five points clear coming up to half-time before Brian Hayes struck for a goal, leaving the Rebels in pole position. The lead in the second half was never less than eight points, and the result never looked in doubt.

For the second year in succession, Cork and Limerick contest the Munster final.
The two performances today appear to cement the two counties’ place as the best Hurling teams in the country.
Last year’s final went all the way to penalties in the Gaelic Grounds, and this year will be the first time the new Páirc Uí Chaoimh will have hosted a Munster hurling final. It will be played at 2:00 pm on June 7.
