There were two games played in the Waterford Senior Football Championship on Saturday evening, with Gaultier and Rathgormack both recording victories.

In Group A, Gaultier ran out comprehensive 5-12 to 1-6 winners over An Rinn.

Gaultier made their attacking threat count throughout the game, with Tommy Martin leading the scoring with two goals.

Gavin Buckley, Rory Jacob and Niall McSweeney also found the net for Gaultier, while JJ Hutchinson contributed four points.

Mark Fitzgerald and Dessie Hutchinson added three points apiece, with Billy O’Keeffe scoring two.

Gaultier’s 5-12 tally saw them comfortably past An Rinn, who finished with 1-6.

The result came in the third round of Group A, with Gaultier having entered the weekend with one win and one defeat from their opening two games.

In Group B, Rathgormack continued their strong start to the championship with a 1-18 to 1-10 victory over Stradbally.

Rathgormack had won their opening two Group B games before Saturday’s meeting, while Stradbally were looking for their first points of the campaign.

The two results form part of the third round of the Senior Football Championship, with the remaining Group A and Group B fixtures taking place on Sunday.

Abbeyside-Ballinacourty face Roanmore in Group B at 2 pm, before The Nire take on Kilrossanty in Group A at 3.30 pm.
