There was plenty of action across the Waterford adult football championships on Saturday, with games taking place across the premier intermediate, intermediate and junior grades.

In the Cappoquin Logistics Premier Intermediate Football Championship, Brickey Rangers were convincing winners in Group A, beating St Saviour’s 4-18 to 1-10.

In Group B, Clashmore Kinsalebeg edged past Mount Sion by 0-12 to 0-10, while Modeligo defeated Portlaw 2-14 to 1-11.

There were three games in the Tony Kirwan Plant Hire Eastern Intermediate Football Championship.

Fenor came out on top against Kill, winning 2-5 to 0-20, while Newtown were beaten by De La Salle on a 2-5 to 1-8 scoreline.

Bonmahon also picked up a victory, defeating Kilmacthomas 1-12 to 1-8.

In the Tony Kirwan Plant Hire Eastern Junior A Football Championship quarter-finals, Ferrybank progressed with a 2-11 to 0-9 victory over Roanmore.

There was also action in the Western Board competitions.

Sliabh gCua/St Mary’s defeated Colligan Emmetts 0-14 to 0-12 in the Radley Engineering Western Board Intermediate Football Cup Division One preliminary quarter-final.

In the Edward O’Rourke Western Board Junior A Football Cup Division One preliminary quarter-final, Ballyduff Upper recorded an impressive 1-18 to 0-9 victory over Abbeyside-Ballinacourty.
