For this chat, we went back to 1833 when the remains of the recently deceased Johanna Walsh from Hennessy’s Road were found inhumanely placed in a sack.
It’s believed she was recently disinterred from his resting place at Killoteran by a pair of body snatchers, people who often illicitly and illegally obtained bodies for medical examination.
The Mayor had Questions to Answer
The gruesome incident saw the local Waterford Mayor involved as well as a well-known business figure implicated in the case… for context, her body was found in a house actually owned by the Mayor!
