Who died on Monday 13th June 2022.
Peacefully, at home in her 100th year, surrounded by her loving family, predeceased by her husband Ald. Joe Cummins, her brothers and sisters.
Nell will be sadly missed by her sons Brendan, Jim and Joseph, daughters Lily (Moody) and Maureen (Bolger), sons-in-law Dick and Seamus, daughters-in-law Joan, Geraldine and Liz, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, brother Brendan, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
MAY NELL REST IN PEACE
Nell will be reposing in Power’s Funeral Home Ferrybank, on Tuesday 14th June from 5pm until 7pm, Nell’s removal will take place on Wednesday 15th June to The Sacred Heart Church, Ferrybank, arriving for Requiem Mass at 10am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Genuinely sorry to learn of the death of the straight-talking Nell, who I got to know very well and really like during late husband Joe's time as senior alderman on Waterford Corporation and as a distinguished Fianna Fail Mayor of Waterford. While a very young newspaper reporter, I was always made feel very welcome by Nell when I called to her home to accompany Joe and the late 'Spinners' Quinlan to meetings of the South Eastern Health Board in Kilkenny or needed to make phone contact with Joe regarding his role in local politics. Sincere sympathy to her family who cared for the lovely Nell so well throughout her long life. RIP
