West Waterford Mental Health Awareness has held its latest Community Wellbeing Day in Ballyduff.

The free event took place at Ballyduff GAA Grounds on Saturday and focused on promoting positive mental health, wellbeing and community connection.

Activities during the day included yoga, a Bags of Hope workshop, laughing yoga and opportunities for people to meet over tea and coffee.

The Ballyduff event followed a previous Community Wellbeing Day held in Ballysaggart in August.

Cllr. Donnchadh Mulcahy, the Chairperson of West Waterford Mental Health Awareness said the group wants to continue bringing similar events to communities across West Waterford.

He said mental health support can begin with simple things such as meeting others, having a conversation and feeling connected to the local community.

West Waterford Mental Health Awareness says further events and community initiatives are planned across the area.
