Waterford is currently recording the fourth-highest rate of affordable and cost-rental house delivery among all local authorities in the country.

1,328 social homes and 248 affordable units have been provided across the city and county since the launch of the Housing for All plan, exceeding overall targets by 12.5%.

Key social housing developments completed include An Garrán and Strand Hill in Tramore, alongside schemes in Ballygunner, Ferrybank, and Ballytruckle, with further work underway in Dungarvan and Kilmacthomas.

The report also highlighted progress on vacant properties, with over seven point seven million euro paid out under the Croí Cónaithe grant scheme to bring 143 empty homes back into active use.

Over 800 overall housing commencements have been recorded so far this year.
