A significant power outage has left more than 2,500 customers without electricity across parts of Waterford this afternoon.

The fault was reported at 12:06pm today with an estimated restoration time of 2:30pm, according to ESB Networks.

Businesses and Homes Affected

The power outage is impacting large areas along the Dunmore Road, affecting both residential properties and local businesses.

Among those affected are major retailers, with B&Q and Costa Coffee forced to close temporarily due to the loss of power.

Repair Works Underway

ESB Networks has confirmed that crews are currently working to repair the fault and restore electricity as quickly as possible.

A total of 2,561 customers are affected by the outage.

Restoration Expected This Afternoon

Power is expected to be restored by approximately 2:30pm, though this may change depending on the progress of repair works.
