Motorists are being advised to expect delays on Rice Bridge in Waterford tonight as refurbishment works continue.

Waterford City and County Council has confirmed that a lane closure will come into effect from 7.30pm this evening, Thursday, August 27th.

A contraflow system will operate throughout the night to facilitate the installation of new barriers as part of the ongoing refurbishment of the bridge.

Traffic management measures will be in place for the duration of the works.

Drivers using the route are being advised to allow for potential delays.

Waterford City and County Council has apologised for any inconvenience caused while the works are carried out.
