Motorists in Waterford are being advised to expect delays as further lane closures are planned for Rice Bridge this week.

Waterford City and County Council says the closures are required to facilitate mechanical works on the bridge.

A single outbound lane will close on Monday, August 17th, from 9.30am until approximately 3pm.

This will be followed by the closure of a single inbound lane on Tuesday, August 18th, from 10am until approximately 3pm.

Traffic management measures will be in place while the works are carried out, with motorists being advised to expect delays in the area.

The council has apologised for any inconvenience and has asked for the understanding and co-operation of the public while the works take place.
