A Waterford business has been named as a finalist in the 2026 Repak Resource Awards.

Dunmore East Garage has been shortlisted for the Tyre Champion Award, which recognises responsible tyre management and environmental practices.

The husband-and-wife-run business has served the Dunmore East community for 40 years.

The garage has been part of the Circol ELT tyre compliance scheme since 2017 and ensures end-of-life tyres are handled through authorised collection channels.

It also encourages customers to maintain tyre pressure and monitor wear in a bid to extend the usable life of tyres and avoid unnecessary replacement.

Dunmore East Garage is shortlisted alongside Midland Tyre Services and S Tyres.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in the Mansion House in Dublin on Friday, October 23rd.
