Details of proposed works as part of Ardmore’s new public realm project have been unveiled.

Waterford City and County Council’s new public realm and traffic calming measures relate to Main Street and Cois Tra, Ardmore.

The proposed works will consist of: new pedestrian crossings on Main Street; connecting the Main Street to the proposed new Relief Road; improvements to the junction at the end of main street which is currently a roundabout; new street furniture and seating areas including raised planting beds; a new coach stop; a new crossing to the playground and parking spaces adjacent to the Sandcastle on the L2107; and all other associated ancillary works.

The proposed development is within the Ardmore Architectural Conservation Area (ACA).
