A community has been left ‘heartbroken’ after a restaurant confirmed they were ‘closed until further notice’ following a fire.
The blaze at the famed farmyard and restaurant happened on Friday evening, with staff taking to social media to confirm the closure.
Fire crews attended the scene of the fire at Sage&Stone on Newlanes House in Duleek, Co Meath.
Thes incident broke at around 6pm, with footage online showing thick black smoke billowing from the premises.
Bosses at the Sage&Stone took to social media on Friday confirming: ‘Sage and stone will be closed until further notice.
‘Flea market tomorrow is cancelled.’
Social media users took to the comments to express their sorrow, with one writing: ‘Omg this is heartbreaking. I really hope everyone is safe and all the animals are okay.
‘Sending so much love and strength to everyone affected.’
Another added: ‘So sorry to see this guys, you know where we are if you need helping hands with the clean up.’
A third commented: ‘Oh so sorry guys, we hope everyone is okay.’
A follow up post from Sage and Stone extended thanks for the supportive messages.
‘Thankfully nobody was hurt tonight,’ they shared. ‘We will try to update everyone as soon as possible…’
Among those leading well wishes was Minister for Foreign Affairs Helen McEntee.
Taking to Facebook, the Meath TD said: ‘Truly devastating for Ciara, Liz and all the team in Sage & Stone.
‘We will all be beside you as you rebuild and navigate the next few months. X.’
