
A motorcyclist has died following a road traffic collision near Carrick-on-Suir yesterday afternoon.
Gardaí and emergency services were called to the scene at Ballynagrana at approximately 4.45pm on Thursday, following a collision involving a car and a motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was removed to University Hospital Waterford, where a post-mortem examination will take place.
The driver of the car, a man aged in his 40s, was taken to Tipperary University Hospital as a precaution. No other injuries were reported.
The road remained closed overnight to allow Garda Forensic Collision Investigators carry out a technical examination, with local diversions in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward. They are also asking road users who may have camera or dash-cam footage and were travelling in the Ballynagrana/Carrick-on-Suir area between 4pm and 5pm on Thursday to contact investigating Gardaí.

Investigations are ongoing.
