The Michael Power Memorial Christmas Day Swim in Kilmurrin has chosen Make-A-Wish Ireland as their charity this year.

Make-A-Wish Ireland grants wishes to children who are critically ill. A wish granted provides respite for children from their normal routine of hospitals doctors and treatments. Each wish offers hope, strength and joy for the child and the family.

This year, the swim fundraising committee hope to raise €25,000 for this worthy cause which is completely dependent on donations. 

The official launch of this year’s swim will take place in Kill on Friday November 20th.
