Waterford will bid for a place in the All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship semi-finals this afternoon when they travel to Páirc Uí Rinn to face Cork in the final round of Group One action.

Throw-in is at 3:30 pm with the Déise knowing that victory over the Rebels would secure a direct route to the last four of the championship.

While Waterford are already guaranteed at least a place in the quarter-finals regardless of today’s outcome, a win would allow them to avoid an extra knockout fixture and continue their impressive championship campaign with automatic progression to the semi-finals.

Manager Mick Boland’s side have shown their quality throughout the group stages and remain firmly in contention after taking three points from their opening two matches.

Standing in their way is a Cork side that has already wrapped up a semi-final place following consecutive victories in their opening group fixtures. Despite having a qualification secured, the Rebels will be eager to maintain their unbeaten record and momentum heading into the knockout stages.

That sets the scene for what promises to be an intense encounter in Páirc Uí Rinn, with Waterford carrying plenty of motivation as they chase one of the biggest results of their season.

The Déise have demonstrated resilience and attacking quality throughout the championship and will hope those qualities can propel them past one of the competition favourites on their own turf.

Supporters unable to make the trip to Cork can watch the game live via the Camogie Association YouTube channel.
