Four talented young Tramore surfers are returning home to a well-deserved celebration after proudly representing Ireland at the European Surfing Championships in Bundoran.

Ruby Fanning, Giorgi Herterich, Ella Dooly and David Fanning competed as members of the Irish Junior Surf Team, helping Ireland secure an impressive 6th place overall out of 20 European competing nations.

There was further success for Tramore, with David Fanning taking 4th place overall in the longboard competition, and securing a European podium position after an outstanding performance.

To celebrate their achievements, a homecoming will take place at T-Bay Surf Club, Tramore, at 12 noon this Sunday, 11th of October, and the local community is warmly invited to come along and welcome our surfers home.

Ruby, Giorgi, Ella and David have been fantastic sporting ambassadors for Tramore, County Waterford and Ireland, representing their country with skill, determination and pride on the European stage.

Their performances are also a testament to the strength of junior surfing in Tramore and the dedication of the young surfers, their families, coaches and the wider surfing community that has supported them along the way.

T-Bay Surf Club is encouraging families, friends, supporters and members of the local community to come down on Sunday and give the four young surfers the homecoming they deserve.
