In front of a packed new stand at Carey Park, our 1A team delivered the perfect ending to a remarkable league campaign, sealing the title with a 4–2 victory over Tramore and putting an exclamation mark on an unforgettable season.
Jimmy Byrne set the tone early, continuing his outrageous form in front of goal. With over 30 goals across all competitions, he has been the division’s standout finisher — and once again showed why with a composed opener.
Azeez Alabi was unplayable throughout, bullying defenders with his hold‑up play and turning pressure into chances. He walked away with a goal and an assist, while Jack Cox and Tommy Mullally also added assists as the team’s attacking fluency shone through.
Luke English then stole the spotlight with a brilliant brace, including a stunning free kick that curled into the top corner — a strike that left the goalkeeper rooted and the crowd roaring.
With the game in control, the full squad played their part as the team saw out the win and celebrated a historic achievement for a young, hungry group.

The numbers tell the story:
- 13 wins from 15 games
- 2 draws
- 0 defeats
- 14 points clear at the top
Rock solid from back to front, relentless in every position, and unmatched in consistency, this team has set a standard that will be remembered for years.
A huge congratulations to the players, Lee Douglas, Craig Reidy, and the entire management team for an extraordinary campaign.
League Champions. Cup Winners. Undefeated. A season to savour.
